Reconsider Fashionable

As bell bottoms, skinny jeans, tube tops, pencil skirts, the "faux hawk" and the like go in and out of fashion, the beauty of bare feet remains constant. While men are typically not as concerned about how they look from the ankle down, women are often fond of well-pedicured toes and soft feet to slip into their shoes.
Are your shoes the accessories of your feet or do the "piggies" play second fiddle to the footwear? We think bare feet should be the rule and fashionable shoes the exception.
There's nothing wrong with taking good care of your feet and making them look good, but it shouldn't be at the expense of your health. Studies are continually showing that dress shoes -- especially high heels -- are bad for our overall health, no matter how fashionable they are.
A common misconception is that going barefoot makes feet less attractive, but this couldn't be farther from the truth. When our feet are free of footwear, it allows our skin to breathe and be healthier, our toes to be better aligned, we can avoid common ailments such as fungus and corns, and our feet look better by avoiding problems such as bunions and hammertoes (that are often made worse by shoes).
You can dress up your feet while you go without shoes. Bare feet go with anything, after all! Accessorize them with anklets, toe rings or barefoot sandals -- they go across the top of the foot but leave the rest of it exposed.
All that said, we understand there are times that you want to dress up and look especially nice. We understand that wearing shoes into a place is required sometimes. That's fine! Just make sure that you treat your feet right and wear these shoes in small amounts -- in other words, NOT at work all day, every day or all night while partying.
Most of all, remember: You can look good without footwear because your feet never go out of style.
