Reconsider Appropriate

As times change, so do people's perceptions of what's proper and acceptable. It use to be that "proper" women would never be seen wearing pants and children "shouldn't speak unless they are spoken to." More closely related to the topic at hand, flip flops were recently only for the swimming pool or locker room. Now they are a staple of summertime living.

Are there folks who get offended by bare feet? Unfortunately yes, but there are also those who get offended by crying infants, rap music, tattoos, gay couples, body piercings, sideways ball caps, clothing with various crude statements and much more. If we were to ban people from doing anything that offends anybody else then nobody could do anything!

We realize that people won't always agree with us, but we know that there's a lot of people that are okay with letting us go barefoot because "to each his own." If you feel like someone going barefoot is inappropriate, we ask you to reconsider that.

After all, feet are just feet. They are non-private parts of the body like hands or ears. They are regularly seen at swimming pools, in magazines, on TV, in martial arts and in many other places and activities.

We're not trying to be rebellious or dangerous, we're not harming anyone else and we don't mean to offend. Really. We just want to do what we feel is best for our feet. That's all.
